Personal Statement
I am a graduate student in the National Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning, Beijing Normal University. I am interested in various topics concerning learning and memory. Currently, my research focuses on statistical word segmentation in the processes of memory encoding and retrieval. I am using behavioral and neuroimaging methods to study factors influencing statistical learning and the underlying neural mechanisms. Also, some comparisons are made between typically and atypically developed populations on their representation patterns to further unravel the mystery of the stochastic learning processes of human beings. In daily life, I am an indoor creature for most of the time, a mixture of bookworm, violinist, and daydreamer.
