Personal Statement
I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Center for Brain and Learning Sciences (CBLS), the State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning, the IDG/McGovern Institute for Brain Research at Beijing Normal University.
I’m interested in human learning and memory’s constant and complex changes throughout the lifespan. My Ph.D. project focuses on systematically describing the lifespan trajectory of human learning and memory, and uncovering the underlying cognitive and neural mechanisms. I’m also interested in studying the neural activity that drives human behavior under natural and realistic conditions. I’m enthusiastic about learning and using modern technology and data analysis methods to improve the way we study human behavior and its neural underpinnings. I care much about every detail of scientific research, because I believe good research can only be done when every detail and the overall picture are considered thoroughly. I love cognitive neuroscience and am fascinated by it.
